The Chicago Headline Club Foundation proudly announces a new opportunity for the city’s emerging journalists. With a commitment to nurturing the next generation of storytellers, the foundation is offering $10,000 in grants to support non-profit media internships in the Chicago area.
Investing in aspiring journalists has never been more critical in an era where journalism faces significant financial and political challenges. These grants are specifically designed to support non-profit media organizations in the Chicago metropolitan area, helping them provide meaningful, hands-on experiences that will help interns grow professionally and make a lasting impact on the industry.
Grant Program Highlights:
- $10,000 in Financial Support: Two grants of $5,000 each will be awarded to non-profit media organizations that provide valuable internship opportunities for aspiring journalists.
- Professional Development: Interns will gain real-world experience, refine their skills, and receive mentorship from seasoned professionals.
- Diversity and Inclusion: We strongly encourage media organizations committed to inclusivity and promoting diversity in their teams to apply. Our goal is to support opportunities that reflect the many voices and stories of the Chicago community.
How to Apply:
Non-profit media organizations in the Chicago area can apply for these grants online here. The application deadline is Monday, March 14, 2025, at 5 p.m. Selected applicants will be notified by mid-April.
