The Chicago Headline Club will host its annual career fair on Friday, Oct. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Impact House, 200 W. Madison St. The free event is open to journalists, media professionals, and students at any career stage — whether job hunting, considering a change, or building their network.
Attendees can connect directly with newsroom leaders and working journalists, get resume and cover letter reviews, receive free professional headshots, and get practical guidance on their next career move. Food and beverages will be provided throughout the day.
Resume reviews and headshots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The fair has grown significantly. Attendance jumped about 70% in 2025.
For newsrooms and media organizations: The Headline Club invites editors, recruiters, and hiring managers to host a table, meet candidates, review materials, conduct mock interviews, and provide feedback to job seekers.
Registration: Admission is free, but advance registration is encouraged as space is limited.
