Join us at the Museum of Broadcast Communications to hear from branding experts, authors and podcasters who will share their personal stories while providing practical tips you can apply the very next day.

Panel #1 Details: “Personal Branding for Journalists”
In this session, Tracy will explain how to design a strategy that aligns with your personal values, available resources and professional goals. She will also walk through different options for building your own website and producing your own newsletter, as well as the best ways to protect your privacy online.

The founder of Socially Authentic, Tracy Samantha Schmidt helps people of all backgrounds use personal branding techniques to achieve their professional goals. A journalist by training, Tracy began her career as a reporter at Time Magazine where she covered the rise of social media. She later co-founded the Chicago Tribune’s ChicagoNow.com, led social media strategy for Crain Communications and taught marketing at the University of Chicago.
